Utabiri wa AI wa OFB Cup

The OFB Cup, officially the ÖFB-Cup, is Austria’s premier national knockout cup competition, organized by the Austrian Football Association (ÖFB). It brings together professional clubs from the Austrian leagues and a broad field of semi‑professional and amateur teams, all competing in one‑off ties until a champion is crowned. The format is pure single‑elimination: if you lose, you’re out; ties are settled with extra time and penalties when needed, with the final played at a neutral venue. The cup sits alongside the league as a marquee trophy and offers a valuable route to European competition. The competition runs through the football season, with early rounds in late summer, principal rounds in autumn, and the final typically staged in spring. Notable clubs – Rapid Wien, Austria Wien, Red Bull Salzburg, Sturm Graz, LASK – have left a lasting mark, while smaller clubs dream of a major upset in front of big crowds. The ÖFB-Cup's long history, dating back more than a century, adds tradition to every match. Fans follow it for dramatic upsets, bragging rights, a potential European berth, and the chance to witness unforgettable cup ties.
