Utabiri wa AI wa Chibuku Super Cup

Officially known as the Chibuku Super Cup, this is one of Zimbabwe's premier football knockout competitions, staged by the Premier Soccer League. It sits beside the league title as a flagship cup competition, open to the top-flight clubs, and uses a single-elimination format from the first round to the final. Clubs must win to progress; a single loss ends their hopes. The tournament is recognized for dramatic upsets where smaller clubs oust traditional powerhouses, creating memorable nights at stadiums. The final is traditionally hosted at a major stadium in Harare (National Sports Stadium) or a similar big venue, giving the cup a festival atmosphere. It normally runs within the domestic season, with early rounds in the opening months, peaking with the final in the middle or end of the season. Notable teams like Dynamos, Highlanders, CAPS United, and FC Platinum have left their mark, producing standout players and memorable performances. The cup also serves as a showcase for emerging talents who transfer attention to national team call-ups and league accolades. Fans follow it for unpredictable results, trophy prestige, and the drama of knockout football.
